1,200 Entrepreneurs Expected to Attend Chicago's Marketing and Money-Making SuperConference

Event Takes Place April 28 - May 1, Hyatt Regency O'Hare; Special Friday Workshop Focused on Teaching Entrepreneurism to Teens

TOWSON, MD--(Marketwire - Apr 13, 2011) - The 2011 Marketing and Money-Making SuperConference, an event dedicated to providing marketing and sales insights to entrepreneurs and small businesses, will be held April 28 through May 1 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. The conference is hosted by Glazer-Kennedy Insider's Circle (GKIC), a membership-based company with a comprehensive array of products, resources, and services designed to market and grow small businesses.

This year's conference registration is expected to top 1,200 registrants. Reflecting the increasing interest in entrepreneurship over the last several years, the SuperConference has seen an average 20-percent growth year over year since its inception in 2004.

"Entrepreneurs focus most of their attention on products and services and not nearly enough on their own marketing. While everyone needs to deliver exceptional products and services to their customers, it's the marketing that builds exceptional companies. Those who get this have a huge advantage over their competition," said Bill Glazer, co-founder of GKIC, popular speaker, and author of the best-selling book "Outrageous Advertising That's Outrageously Successful."

The conference also includes a special Kids' Day event on Friday, April 29, for children from ages 10 to 18. Created to teach the principles of business and entrepreneurship, the Kids' Day event features young, successful entrepreneurs as guest speakers, a variety of interactive activities, and a special question-and-answer session with GKIC executives. The company expects approximately 200 Kid's Day attendees.

A special bonus day on Sunday, May 1, is focused on GKIC's Marketer of the Year award. Throughout the day, finalists in four different categories (advertising, professional practices marketing, business-to-business marketing, and sales) make their presentations. At the end of the day, session attendees vote for the overall winner, who receives $10,000 in cash, as well as an all-expenses-paid trip to the company's Winner's Weekend in Orlando.

"Today, small businesses comprise more than 90% of the U.S. workforce and account for a significant portion of job growth. GKIC's mission to help small businesses maximize their success is critically relevant in the current economic climate," said Elizabeth Tomaszewicz, chief executive officer. "The SuperConference is designed to give entrepreneurs and small business owners strategies and best practices they can put into action immediately for rapid results."

Headliner speakers for the multi-day event include:

  • Bill Glazer and Dan Kennedy, the founding executives of GKIC and the masterminds behind the company's astounding growth over the last seven years. Glazer and Kennedy have written more than 20 books and have advised a wide range of business entrepreneurs.
  • Kathy Ireland, who went from supermodel to entrepreneur and is now president of a $1.4 billion multi-product, multi-channel design and merchandising company.
  • Michael Masterson, a highly successful serial entrepreneur and chief strategist for Agora Publishing.
  • Lenny Lieberman, the architect of the highly successful Proactiv business and the producer of widely viewed TV infomercials.
  • Russell Brunson, an authority in the effective use of internet marketing and web site consultant.
  • Joe Polish, infomarketing expert, business advisor, and author of the program, "The Seven Success Multiplying Factors to Dominate Any Market You Enter."
