12WBT Selects Widen DAM to Manage Marketing and Creative Files

Australia's Biggest Loser Doesn't Want to Lose Any Digital Media Files

MADISON, WI--(Marketwired - Jun 17, 2014) - Michelle Bridges' 12 Week Body Transformation (12WBT), the online training program of Michelle Bridges, personal trainer and TV personality on the Australian version of The Biggest Loser TV series, has selected the Widen Media Collective for its digital asset management (DAM) needs. Trimming over two million pounds off Australians, Michelle Bridges' online training course now looks to expand outside of Australia. Because of the rapid expansion, 12WBT will use DAM to be a central repository for all creative assets, and also provide a cohesive way of browsing and searching for assets as they are required.

12WBT aspires to spread their unique and life-changing message of empowerment through exercise, nutrition, and positive mindset. Over the past 12 months, staff numbers have really grown, which meant the old way of sharing creative assets on Dropbox and Google Drive became quite unwieldy.

"We could no longer rely on a small team to know what assets were available in our vault," stated Sue Klose, COO of 12WBT. "In addition, we started using a number of external parties (designers, agencies, etc.) that required access to our creative asset pool. A central place, that was easily searchable, seemed like the best solution to our problem."

After speaking with multiple colleagues, people in their network, and searching on Google, 12WBT realized that a digital asset management system would allow them to have a centrally managed hub for all of their creative project files. DAM would have an effect not only on internal efficiencies, but also external workflows with partners and agencies.

12WBT selected the Widen Media Collective based on the flexibility of the system, and the robust technology behind it. Having complete control over asset access and security were of critical importance, but the ability to get analytic data on asset usage, strong API capabilities, and the ability to administer the access of different types of users were also strong reasons for the selection of Widen.

"Every scenario that we provided to Widen was solved with a quick and easy workflow," stated Klose.

The DAM system will be used to give access to a core group of day-to-day users within the marketing and product teams, and also support team members from external partners. 12WBT will also store other pertinent business documents and any assets that are useful across its internal teams.

"It's energizing having 12WBT onboard the Widen Media Collective, given the breadth of their digital assets and global teams in Australia and the United States," said Craig Bollig, senior digital asset management advisor. "When brands like 12WBT grow, having the right tools in place for efficiency and control always come to the forefront of that planning, and that's always been a key attraction to the cloud-based Media Collective. The team at 12WBT creates new content every day to help millions achieve their personal fitness goals, and we at Widen take great pride in being that solution which will help that grow exponentially."
