1.5 Million Voice Their Choice for Foreigner in the Lopez Tonight Best Musical Performance Competition

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2010) -  A stunning appearance by Foreigner on the hit late-night cable television talk show Lopez Tonight rocked fans worldwide and earned the number two spot in a battle for best musical performance hosted by comedian George Lopez. Foreigner's performance of the band's classic anthems "Feels Like the First Time" and "Hot Blooded" served viewers a dominant dose of classic rock, and fans responded with a tidal wave of 1.5 million votes. Foreigner outpaced other musical powerhouses including Justin Bieber, Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, Mariah Carey and Peter Frampton, and was edged out only by the Backstreet Boys in the Lopez Tonight competition.

Classic rock icon Foreigner ( continues to pack stadiums worldwide. Next steps include a stint as the featured musical act for NBC's highly-anticipated ice skating event, Improv-Ice, hosted by Brian Boitano and Kristi Yamaguchi. In this nationally-televised special, airing Sunday, November 21 on NBC, a star-studded cast of Olympic medalists will choreograph one-of-a-kind skating routines set to 11 Foreigner songs, bringing reality television to the ice. The band also is lighting up the afterburners for their charity work, with performances and special activities to benefit a number of outstanding non-profits and social causes.
