17th Annual HR Technology(R) Conference and Exposition Announces Early Details of 2014 Program

Must-See Sessions Include Opening Keynote From NY Times Bestselling Author Andrew McAfee; Awesome New Technologies for HR Session Now Accepting Applications

HORSHAM, PA--(Marketwired - Mar 11, 2014) - Human Resource Executive® magazine, the premier publication focused on strategic issues in HR, today released early program details of the 17th Annual HR Technology® Conference & Exposition, to be held October 7-10, 2014, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Early details of the 2014 program have been released, including news of the opening keynote address presented by leading business and technology thinker Andrew McAfee, co-author of the recent New York Times bestseller, The Second Machine Age, as well as the influential works Race Against the Machine and Enterprise 2.0.

At HR Tech, McAfee will share ideas from The Second Machine Age -- an age where cars drive themselves; IBM's Watson is the best Jeopardy! player on the planet; and cheap, flexible, and programmable robots are working side-by-side with people. He will discuss both the great promise and the important challenges these technologies hold, and how work and workplaces will have to adapt.

The HR Technology® Conference will once again provide a full and rich program of engaging and educational content focusing on how high performing organizations are leveraging modern HR technologies to drive business results.

Early confirmed sessions include presentations from leading organizations like:

  • Comcast, who will share insights about their introduction of a comprehensive mobile recruiting and application process supported by 2013 "Awesome New Technology for HR" solution provider Jibe.
  • Whole Foods Market, who will share, along with their solution partner Equifax Workforce Solutions, how technology is enabling the grocery chain to navigate the tricky waters of the Affordable Care Act.
  • Paychex, who will describe how their longtime investments in corporate wellness programs have been enhanced and modernized with social, mobile, and gaming technology from ShapeUp.

There are more than 50 educational sessions still to be announced.

HR Tech also has announced the opening of submissions for the popular Awesome New Technologies for HR session, which will expand in 2014 to include even more of the latest, most innovative, and emerging technologies that are propelling the HR technology market forward.

HR Technology® Conference Co-Chair Steve Boese commented, "The 2014 program will once again showcase many of the best companies in the world sharing how they are using HR and workplace technologies to achieve superior business results. This early sneak-peek into the program should be a signal to HR, Business, and IT leaders that HR Tech will be the one HR event in 2014 they won't want to miss."
