Founded in 1978 by bereaved parents and the professionals who supported them, Bereaved Families Ontario-Toronto (BFO-Toronto) is a volunteer-based charity that provides bereavement support services and programs based on a mutual support model to individuals (children, youth and adults), families and communities.

Our programs provide a safe space for people to talk and connect, foster a sense of belonging for those who feel isolated, and nurture the resiliency of people and communities to identify their own inner resources and coping strategies.

Individual sessions, groups for all ages and stages of grief, as well as programs for at-risk neighbourhoods and education/training programs are what BFO-Toronto offers to all bereaved individuals free-of- charge. More information can be found at www.bfotoronto.ca.
