TULSA, OK--(Marketwire - Mar 19, 2013) - Williams & Williams, the premier brand in real estate auction, today announced it will sell a 194 +/- acre an equine breeding facility located in the heart of Texas horse country at a live global auction on Thursday, April 11th at 3pm CDT. The ranch, which includes several stallion and mare barns, three ranch hand homes and an office, lab, lighted arena and many paddocks and pastures, will be sold in seven parcels. Persons interested in participating in this horse ranch auction can bid on-site or bid live online at auctionnetwork.com. No equipment or livestock will be conveyed as part of this auction.
"We anticipate broad buyer interest in this ranch auction due to the property's attractive location and facilities," said Rob Bridges, Williams & Williams SVP, Sales. "While the ranch is currently operating as an equine breeding facility it is versatile for any type of horse or livestock operation. The property's location between Denton and McKinney also puts it in the path of long-term development opportunities."
The horse ranch is approximately 35 miles south of the Texas/Oklahoma border and north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The North Texas Tollway Authority has proposed and has started initial planning for a 17.6 mile extension northward that would bring the Dallas North Tollway within a few miles of the ranch. The Tollway has helped spur development of several master-planned communities in the immediate area, including nearby communities of Savannah and Providence Village.
There is unique appeal to each of the seven parcels being sold as part of this horse ranch auction. Parcel 1 contains most of the horse facilities and improvements on the ranch. Parcels 2 through 5 are "pasture parcels" that are currently fenced with automatic waterers. The equine breeding facility has excellent water supply with its own well and back up water system. Parcels 6 and 7 each contain a brick home with access and frontage on Lights Ranch Road. Parcel 6 includes 10.6 +/- acres with a three-bedroom, two bathroom home. Parcel 7 includes a home, 10.1 +/- acres, a loafing shed, fenced pasture and views of the large tank located on the adjacent Parcel Two.
The ranch will be open for public inspection from 1:00 - 4:00 pm on Friday, March 29th, Sunday, March 31st and Sunday, April 7th as well as two hours prior to the sale. There are nominal opening bids of $100,000 for Parcel 1, $500/acre for Parcels 2 through 5, and $10,000 each for Parcels 6 and 7.
