MAMMOTH LAKES, CA--(Marketwired - May 7, 2014) - In its 19th year, Mammoth's Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza promises an incomparable lineup of musical talent and a Grand Tasting of craft brews from around the country. It all takes place Thursday, July 31, through Sunday, August 3, outdoors among the pines at Sam's Wood Site, located on Minaret Road between Main Street and Meridian Boulevard, with California's Eastern High Sierra as the backdrop.
The event is sponsored by Mammoth Brewing Company, a staple in the Mammoth Lakes community and the highest-elevation brewery on the West Coast at more than 8,000 feet above sea level.
On Saturday, the Mammoth Festival of Beers Grand Tasting (12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) features more than 80 of the country's best craft breweries, including Mammoth Brewing Company, Anchor Brewing, Russian River, Bear Republic, Anderson Valley, Stone, Green Flash, Firestone Walker, Coronado, Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, and many more. Along with the beer and blues, plenty of tasty food from some of Mammoth's best restaurants will be served in the Blues Food Court, satisfying the heartiest of appetites.
The weekend lineup includes music legends the Taj Mahal Trio and John Hiatt & The Combo on Friday, Robert Randolph & The Family Band on Saturday, and six-time Grammy award-winner Buddy Guy on Sunday. All told, more than 20 bands will be featured throughout the weekend.
