2005 Blackboard Asia Pacific Users Conference in Australia This September

WASHINGTON, DC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 1, 2005 -- Blackboard Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBB) announces today the 2005 Blackboard Asia Pacific Users Conference, "Innovating Together," to be held in Melbourne, Australia, September 28 - 29, 2005. The conference will provide a forum for Blackboard users to meet, connect, exchange ideas and share best practices on how their institutions are using Blackboard to enhance teaching, learning and community development. More than 2,200 schools, colleges and universities around the world rely on Blackboard to enhance their education experience.

The conference will kick off with a Blackboard keynote address and focus on user case studies, best practices in implementation and interactive sessions between Blackboard users and executives. This year's Blackboard Asia Pacific Users Conference will feature three tracks; "In the Classroom," "In the Senior Administration Office," and "In the ICT office." A total of 36 sessions from Blackboard clients, staff and partners will be presented over the two days, plus a comprehensive suite of hands-on training programs before and after the conference. Administrator, user, and developer training will be offered on September 26, 27, and 30 at RMIT University.
