2005 World Masters Games to Visit Seattle

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - March 4, 2005) - Portland, Oregon
hosted the Games in 1998. In 2005, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada will have
the privilege of hosting this major international sports event - the 6th
World Masters Games - to be held July 22 - 31.

The Edmonton 2005 World Masters Games Local Organization invites media
to a special presentation being hosted in your community on:



Wednesday, March 9
12:00 noon - 1:30 p.m.
Safeco Field, Diamond Club
1250 First Avenue South, Seattle


Barry Anderson, Executive Director of the Edmonton 2005 World Masters
Games, will give an overview of the Games. Seattle's sport and
recreation community, and local Masters athletes will be attending. The
public is also welcome to attend.

The World Masters Games are the largest international multi-sport event.
Edmonton is getting set to host 16,000 recreational and elite athletes,
25 years of age and up, from as many as 100 different countries, to
compete in 27 sporting events, over 10 days ... celebrating sport for
life.

Edmonton looks forward to welcoming the citizens of Seattle and area to
the Games this summer.
