2006 Exploration Drill Program Results on the Empire Mine Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 1, 2007) - Journey Resources Corp. ("Journey") (TSX VENTURE:JNY) (FRANKFURT:JL4) and Trio Gold Corp. ("Trio") (TSX VENTURE:TGK US LISTED:TROOF) are pleased to announce new results from the 2006 exploration program on the Empire Mine Project in Custer County, Idaho (the "Property").

Drill results from holes JRC22 to JRC28 have been received from ALS Chemex labs in Vancouver. Highlights include: 9m grading 0.26% copper and 5.72 gm/T gold in JRC27 (including 1.5m at 29.40 gm/T Au); 9m at 0.47% Cu, 2.93 gm/T Au (incl. 3m at 7.15 gm/T Au) in JRC23; and 76m of 0.44% Cu in JRC26. These holes are located in the central portion of the AP pit, in the vicinity of holes JDD04 (62m of 0.31% Cu, drilled by Journey), TRC06 (59m of 1.61% Cu, drilled by Trio in 2004), JDD01 (16m at 0.85% Cu, Journey), and TRC01 (50m at 0.65% Cu, Trio).

In total, 65 infill and exploration holes are planned on the Property as part of an ongoing development drilling program. To date, 33 holes consisting of 5 core and 28 RC have been completed in the AP pit area of the Empire Mine. Two of the RC holes had no recovery and will be re-drilled in 2007. Results from 21 previously announced holes (JDD01 to JRC16a) were released on August 24, 2006, November 16, 2006, and January 9, 2007 respectively. Results from holes JRC18, 19 and 20 are pending.

Drill results from seven holes have been received and are summarized in the table below.

All thicknesses are considered to be nearly true. All intercepts are in magnetite-diopside exoskarn (derived from limestone) and garnet endoskarn (feldspar porphyry) associated with the Mackay stock. The gold values are generally associated with late-stage limonitic stockwork and brecciation.

Journey is currently earning a 50% lease interest in the Empire Mine project. Empire Mine is a polymetallic skarn deposit containing copper, zinc, gold and silver located in the Alder Creek Mining District in Custer County, Idaho. The mine is located on the east-facing slope of the White Knob Mountains approximately three miles west of Mackay, Idaho. The Property consists of 26 patented mining claims, six mill-site claims and 21 unpatented mining claims. An additional 4 lode claims and 25 millsite claims were staked by Journey in December 2006.

Journey is investigating the potential for a SX-EW copper-zinc operation on the oxide ores present in the AP pit area, along with recovery of the precious metals. The evaluation of the deeper sulfide resource at Empire is planned in the future. Phil van Angeren, P.Geol., is the Qualified Person for Journey on the Empire Project. Sampling is supervised under rigid quality control, and ALS Chemex in Elko, Nevada and Vancouver produce all assays.

The primary objective of the 2006 work program on the Empire Mine Project has been to complete a feasibility study, for which the drilling to date has provided necessary information. Continued drilling is planned for 2007.

Jack Bal, President of Journey, commented: "We are excited by the implications of these grades and intervals, and anticipate continued success through future drill programs as we move closer to completion of a feasibility study.

The management of Trio comments: "We are pleased with the results to date, and we look forward to the 2007 program."
