2006 Ontario Summer Games: Celebrating where Dreams Begin...with Massari

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 31, 2006) - The 2006 Ottawa Ontario Summer Games Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that Massari, Ottawa-based R&B phenom, will be performing at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2006 Ontario Summer Games, August 9, at Lynx Stadium.

Massari's debut album was released a little more than a year ago and soon reached Gold record status. Massari's self-titled album debuted on the Top 40 SoundScan Chart at #29 and #6 on the R&B chart, selling out nationwide in its first couple days of release.

Massari's participation is welcome news for the Ottawa 2006 Ontario Summer Games Organizing Committee as it counts down the days to the arrival of athletes and to the Opening Ceremonies. Tickets for the Opening Ceremonies went on sale on Thursday, 27 July at 10:00 at Lynx Stadium.

The price for adults is 10$ each, 5$, for youth aged 6 to 14 and for children 5 years and younger, it's free.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Lynx Boutique or by phone (613-747-5969 x 253) between 10:00am and 4:00pm during the week (Monday through Friday) and from 10:00am onwards on Wednesday, August 9. Tickets purchased by phone will be available for pickup at the Lynx Stadium Will-Call booth on Wednesday, August 9 starting at 10:00 AM.

Presented by MBNA Canada, Ottawa and the National Capital region will be hosting the 19th Ontario Summer Games from August 9 to 13, 2006. The 2006 Ontario Summer Games will involve approximately 3,500 participants (athletes, coaches, managers and officials), thousands of spectators and more than 1,000 volunteers. The Ontario Games are the Province's premiere multi-sport event and a training ground for future Canada Games participants and Olympians.
