2007 Bell-Ottawa Senators Viva Las Vegas Ice & Dice Event to Take Place Feb. 13

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 26, 2007) - The 2007 Bell - Ottawa Senators Viva Las Vegas Ice & Dice presented by Samsung, the premier fundraising event of the Ottawa Senators Foundation, will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Que.

Complete with roaming showgirls, a Vegas strip and an Elvis impersonator, this event affords guests the opportunity to try out their blackjack skills with Sens players as celebrity dealers, bid on some spectacular auction items and enjoy an amazing meal prepared by one of the finest chefs in the region. Stuntman Stu will be joined by the dynamic duo of club broadcasters Gord Wilson and Dean Brown as event hosts.

Funds raised from the annual event will benefit the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, CSSS de Gatineau Foundation and other local health-related charities whose programs focus on improving the quality of life for children and youth. More than 600 guests are expected for the evening.

Since 1992, the Senators and their foundation, through this annual fundraising event, have provided more than $1 million to charities in the region.

In May 2006, Bell Canada and the Ottawa Senators announced a commitment to raise $1 million for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario over the next five years. The 2007 Bell - Ottawa Senators Viva Las Vegas Ice & Dice presented by Samsung is one of the events that will help Bell and the Ottawa Senators fulfill the million-dollar goal.

Ernst & Young and Casino du Lac-Leamy are also key sponsors of the event. Their corporate support, plus the support of many other event partners, will ensure more money will be raised than ever before at this annual event that is fast becoming a highlight of the year on the National Capital Region's social scene.
