2008 L.A. County Fair Satisfies Everyone's Appetite

More Than 300 Different Delicious Food Options From All Over the World

POMONA, CA--(Marketwire - September 12, 2008) - The 2008 L.A. County Fair has been open for a week but no one can possibly have tried every food item yet. It's possible to come to the Fair every day for the 18-day duration and never eat the same thing for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Boasting more than 300 food options, the L.A. County Fair is sure to have something for everyone's appetite.

Some of the most popular food at the Fair is deep-fried and no one knows deep-fried food like Chicken Charlie. Charlie's fried food stand is one of the most popular at the Fair every year. The reason: the delicious yet creative fried food he creates. This year's newest additions are the deep-fried Pop Tarts and also White Castle sliders. You can find deep-fried everything, including Oreos, Twinkies, frogs legs, pickles, olives, s'mores, Elvis sandwiches, asparagus and much more.

Juicy's Outlaw Grill is featuring the world's largest grill at 20 ft. high, 27 tons and covering nearly 100 feet of turf. It can grill up to 1,000 items simultaneously. Juicy's serves up everything from giant turkey legs to hot dogs and corn.

Other foods that can tip the scale include the Colossal Gelato which features two pints of gelato ice cream in a 16-inch waffle cone! Your sweet tooth will continue to be satisfied with the CBS cupcake. As the size of a large muffin, this cupcake gets even better with 5 inches of cotton candy on top of the frosting.

Of course, you'll always find Hot Dog on a Stick, funnel cakes, candy apples, an apple tower drizzled with caramel and refreshing fresh-squeezed lemonade.

There is food and fun for the whole family. The L.A. County Fair runs September 5-28, 2008 and is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. More information is available at www.LACountyFair.com or the new Hot Blog on a Stick at http://www.fairplex.com/blog/fairblog/.
