2009 L.A. County Fair Opens a Week Earlier, Now Labor Day Weekend

POMONA, CA--(Marketwire - September 1, 2009) - The 2009 L. A. County Fair has something for everyone including Gateway to Africa, Bark Park, A Pirate's Life, Fairview Farms, fried food, wine tasting, nighttime concerts and much more. With the Fair opening a week earlier, you can save money and stay local this Labor Day weekend. At the L.A. County Fair you can explore Africa at the new Gateway to Africa and Safari Adventure where guests will cruise in jeeps to see animals from Africa including a talking parrot, camels, zebras, ostriches, snakes, and spiders.

The L.A. County Fair is going to the dogs with the return of Bark Park, a fur-flying fun exhibit perfect for dog-lovers of any age. Bark Park will feature the Splash Dogs, the Extreme Canines Stunt Dog Show, and designer dog houses up for auction. While the A Pirate's Life attraction will feature a high-wire pirate act as well as a comedy pirate show.

By keeping environmental issues at the forefront, the L.A.
