2011 a Record Breaking Year for Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping; Fitness Franchise Expands Into 9th State With the Addition of Indiana

Fast Growing Fitness Franchise Will Complete 2011 With 42 Stores in 9 States and Over 36,000 Customers' Lives Transformed

DES MOINES, IA--(Marketwire - Dec 20, 2011) - Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping, a popular and rapidly expanding Midwest fitness franchise that combines strength training with fitness kickboxing, announced today a record breaking year for 2011. The franchise has now reached 42 locations in nine states, up from 34 locations in six different states in 2010. Over 36,000 students have transformed their lives with Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping (FXB) program, with nearly 10,000 new participants in 2011 alone. The number of students continues to grow year after year because of the incomparable results that come from the Farrell's 10-week program that combines kickboxing, strength training, and nutrition with an unmatched support system of coaches and instructors who have all successfully completed the 10-week program.

In addition to the firm's milestones, FXB set a world record in November 2011 for the longest kickboxing class at 36 continuous hours. The record was part of a larger event for the Special Olympics of Iowa where $5,000 was raised for the organization.

Also in 2011, Farrell's launched two new programs in addition to its original eXtreme Bodyshaping class. The first is FitStart, a lower impact program geared towards participants who need some simple modifications to accommodate for any physical limitations they might have. The second is KickStart, an introductory class that gives information needed to get started with basic nutrition, strength training, and kickboxing before beginning a 10-week session. On top of new class offerings, in 2011 Farrell's began offering a 100% money back guarantee for any participant not satisfied with their results -- a first in the fitness industry.

"This past year has been one of the best yet in our 10 years of existence including highlights of the new FitStart and KickStart programs and setting a world record," said Lance Farrell, founder of Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping. "Most of all, I'm excited that the same type of high-interest level that Iowans have had for our 10-week sessions over the past ten years is being replicated by students in new locations throughout the country. Our success has allowed us not only to change our participants' lives, but also to be able to support a wide variety of charities we feel strongly about."

A unique aspect that sets Farrell's apart from other programs is that $1,000 prizes are awarded to participants with the most dramatic transformation in each 10-week session. Participants are also eligible to enter into a yearlong Fit challenge for the chance to win $10,000. Paul Wagner, of Omaha, NE, was the 4th winner of the $10,000 challenge this year.

For 2012, Farrell's has locations opening in Chicago, Columbus, IN; and Boulder, CO with locations in other major cities expected to follow.
