2011 Volkswagen Jetta Now on Sale

All-New Vehicle Available at Dealers

Volkswagen Canada is pleased to announce the market introduction of the all-new 2011 Jetta. The Jetta features bold new styling, and offers the consumer class leading rear leg room, along with the largest trunk capacity in the segment. Now available at Volkswagen Dealers, perhaps the most significant new feature is the price. Starting from only $15,875, the new Jetta delivers style, performance, and space, without the penalty of a high price.

The new Jetta will be available in five different levels of trim, each designed to meet the needs of the discerning consumer. Regardless of trim level, each vehicle features a long list of standard safety features, including six airbags, ABS brakes with electronic pressure distribution, anti-slip regulation, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).

Improved aerodynamics; coupled with a reduction in weight, has made the new Jetta even more fuel efficient. A choice of three engines; including the award-winning TDI Clean Diesel, five and six speed manual transmissions, and an available six speed automatic gives the consumer a wide range of choice. The TDI Clean Diesel automatic even offers the same 6 speed DSG transmission found in our sporty GTI model, resulting in an astounding highway fuel economy rating of 4.6 l/100 km.

On the inside, the all-new Jetta is very well equipped, with standard power windows featuring one-touch up and down operation, standard power door locks, height-adjustable front seats, and a 60/40 split rear seat, allowing for multiple combinations of passengers and cargo.

Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity is available, as are a host of options designed to allow the customer to personalize their Jetta.

In support of the launch, Volkswagen Canada is embarking upon a very aggressive marketing campaign. Billboards across the country will communicate the complete front-to-back redesign of the Jetta, and will highlight the new low price. Traditional media such as television and print will also be augmented by a significant digital presence. Most exciting will be the debut of the first Canadian automobile commercial presented in 3D. Appearing in theatres this October, the spot will also be available in 2D for conventional broadcast, and will be the crowning achievement of this multi-faceted campaign.
