2015 DEKALB(R) Seed for Yourself Yield Challenge


WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - April 28, 2015) - DEKALB® brand seed growers are invited once again to enter the DEKALB Seed for Yourself Yield Challenge.

New this year, the challenge is open to farmers from Alberta to Prince Edward Island who grow at least ten acres of DEKALB corn, soybeans or canola. Growers with the highest yielding DEKALB corn, soybeans or canola, within their specific contest zone, will be eligible to win an all-inclusive trip for two to Club Med Sandpiper Bay, Port St Lucia, Florida, February 5 to 12, 2016. This trip is valued at approximately $4,500.

Western Canada: There will be one winner chosen from each of the qualifying contest zones listed below. The qualifying contest zones are based on geography.

Growers cannot win more than one prize.

A 10-acre field minimum is required and harvest bushels must be a minimum of 1.5 acres within the same field. A DEKALB dealer or DEKALB representative must be present at time of weigh off and yield of harvested bushels must be corrected to 13% moisture for soybeans, 15.5% moisture for corn and 9% for canola. DEKALB customers must register for the contest via online entry (www.DEKALB.ca) or by submitting an entry form by fax to (519) 823-9733 or by mail to 101-120 Research Lane, Guelph, Ontario N1G 0B4. Registration deadlines are as follows: July 15, 2015 for canola, August 1, 2015 for corn and soybeans in Western Canada and September 18, 2015 for Eastern Canada.
