2015 Mobile Computing/Mobile Business Intelligence Market Study Available From Dresner Advisory Services

7th Edition Reveals Mobile BI Well Established as a Mobile Application Priority, Behind Email and Calendaring but Ahead of CRM and Collaboration

NASHUA, NH--(Marketwired - Dec 22, 2015) - Dresner Advisory Services today announced publication of the 2015 Mobile Computing/Mobile Business Intelligence Market Study, part of the Wisdom of Crowds® series of research. The annual report examines deployment trends and user perceptions and intentions around mobile computing and mobile Business Intelligence (BI).

According to the 2015 report, executives and managers remain the top targeted mobile BI users, although there is a slight shift in favor of other constituencies such as line managers and individual contributors. The most prioritized mobile BI features are traditional BI capabilities for viewing charts and reports and selecting data. Alerting and key performance indicator (KPI) monitoring rank higher in mobile compared to traditional BI use.

"Since our first mobile BI study appeared in 2010, we've seen a steady level of significance tied to the topic. However, perceived 'critical' importance of mobile BI declined somewhat from 2014 and now ranges between 'somewhat' and 'very' important," said Howard Dresner, founder and chief research office at Dresner Advisory Services. "We believe that the ubiquity of mobile computing contributes to this attitude, as organizations move from planning to actual deployment."

Wisdom of Crowds® research is based on data collected on usage and deployment trends, products, and vendors. BI users in all roles and throughout all industries contributed to provide a complete view of realities, plans, and perceptions of the BI market. To purchase a copy of the 2015 Mobile Computing/Mobile Business Intelligence Market Study, visit www.mobilecomputingreport.com.
