2016 ISO Stakeholder Symposium Brings Together Experts to Discuss Evolving Energy Market

Stakeholders Encouraged to Register Today to Reserve a Spot

FOLSOM, CA--(Marketwired - July 20, 2016) - The California Independent System Operator's (ISO) 2016 Stakeholder Symposium taking place on September 7-8 at the Sacramento Convention Center is approaching fast and is expected to sell out soon. As in previous years, the agenda is filled with distinguished guest speakers and dynamic panelists. The ISO is urging stakeholders to register today so as not to miss out on this popular event.

Now in its eighth year, the Stakeholder Symposium has emerged as the premier energy forum in the western United States. Last year's event attracted more than 1,000 executives from the technology, energy, financial and legal sectors, along with policymakers and regulators from around the world.

The two-day event provides the ideal venue for candid and thoughtful dialogue on our industry's most important topics. This year, the event will present a variety of panels for discussion on the benefits and challenges of integrating California's bulk power system with that of neighboring western states, the rise of distributed energy resources and the new role of consumers in energy markets.

The event will feature distinguished keynote speakers, including: Tom Steyer, Founder and President of NextGen Climate; Mauricio Gutiérrez, CEO, NRG Energy; Norman Bay, Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; and Michael Picker, President of the California Public Utilities Commission.
