21st Century Film Festival: Cinequest Takes Their 18th Annual Film Festival "Mobile" Using Mozes

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - February 27, 2008) - Starting today through March 9, Cinequest Film Festival (www.cinequest.org) attendees will be using Mozes (www.mozes.com), a mobile marketing company that lets anyone make their campaign, promotion or event more interactive using the mobile phone and the web, to vote for their favorite films using their mobile phone. Fitting for a Silicon Valley-based film festival, attendees will use Mozes' innovative live event features to text in their votes for the Audience Favorite Award and get up-to-the-minute updates and offers from Cinequest directly to their mobile phones.

The 12-day Festival will present 250 screenings, which includes more than 150 films (including shorts) with 38 feature-length films having their U.S., North American, and World Premieres. Those who attend the screenings will be able to vote for and rank the films they have viewed by texting in the film's Mozes keyword to 66937. Votes will be tabulated throughout the festival and displayed on two, Top-10 Feature Film and Short Film leaderboards that will be displayed on Cinequest's website.

In addition to mobile voting, Cinequest is using Mozes in a variety of innovative ways so that festivalgoers have the most up-to-date information. Throughout the event, attendees can text 'cqmav' to 66937 to join the Cinequest mobile list in order to receive announcements, schedule changes and free ticket offers directly to their mobile device. Additionally, each of the individual films have their own Mozes keyword. When attendees text the film's keyword to 66937 they immediately receive the film's show time, date and venue directly to their phone.

"We're using Mozes to enhance audience interaction at the film screenings and provide festival-goers with information they can access whenever they want and wherever they may be," said Kathleen Powell, Cinequest President and Co-founder. "Silicon Valley has always been at the forefront of innovation. Using Mozes is very apropos as it is the most innovative, easy to use and reliable way to engage our audiences and distribute pertinent information."

In addition to the over 500 artists and innovators that will be in attendance, Cinequest will be honoring Maverick Award recipients: Danny Glover ("The Royal Tenenbaums," "To Sleep with Anger," "Lethal Weapon"), Michael Keaton ("Batman," "Clean and Sober," "Night Shift"), Bobby Moresco (Academy Award®-winning producer and writer "Crash," Co-Producer "Million Dollar Baby") and Michael Arndt (Academy Award® winner Best Original Screenplay, "Little Miss Sunshine") during the festival.

"Cinequest wants to engage their nearly 80,000 attendees by enabling them to easily vote for their favorite films over the mobile phone," said Dorrian Porter, CEO of Mozes. "Mozes gives Cinequest the best tools to coordinate with their event staff and attendees, providing them with on-the-go, on-demand information."
