25 Years for the Mayor's Annual Christmas Food Drive Shining Example of Making a Difference


CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Nov. 19, 2013) - Friday morning will be the scene of some serious competition, with teams of corporate and media partners, each vying for the coveted Gold Shopping Cart Award

The kick-off event for the Mayor's Annual Christmas Food Drive has become a fun-filled event and the sterling anniversary event will be no exception:

Canada Safeway (Whitehorn location at 3550-92 Ave NE)

Based on a pre-chosen CANstruction theme, teams compete to fill their shopping cart with food items for the build, and using provided props and unique presentation such as caroling, compete based on use of goods, creativity of presentation and Christmas spirit.

In 2012, the campaign collected $540,000 in food and funds.
