26th Apprehension of "Wanted by the CBSA" Individual


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 3, 2012) - The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced the apprehension of Mohamed Ratni, who is featured on the "Wanted by the CBSA" list.

Mohamed Ratni was apprehended by the Montréal Police on June 29. Ratni is inadmissible to Canada. It has been determined that Ratni violated human or international rights under the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act or under international law.

To date, as a result of the "Wanted by the CBSA" program, Canadians have assisted in locating 26 individuals in Canada, while five individuals were located abroad. Additionally, the CBSA has removed 19 of these individuals from Canada.

Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the CBSA Web site. Any information on the whereabouts of these wanted individuals should be reported to the CBSA Border Watch Toll-free Line at 1-888-502-9060.
