2nd Annual Women Transforming Technology Conference -- Registration Now Open

VMware Partners with Workday, Dell Technologies, Pivotal, Cloudera, Stanford Clayman Institute for Gender Research, Women Who Code to Further Discussion and Enhance Visibility for Next Generation of Female Leaders in Tech Industry

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - December 05, 2016) - VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), in partnership with Workday, Dell Technologies, Pivotal, Cloudera, Stanford Clayman Institute for Gender Research, Women Who Code today announced that registration is open for the second annual Women Transforming Technology (WT2) Conference. Taking place on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, this world-class community event is designed to continue the important conversation on advancing women in the workplace across the tech industry. It will host more than 450 attendees, ranging from students to executives from industry, academia and nonprofit organizations.

Featuring inspiring role models that have shattered the "glass ceiling" in a male-dominated industry, the WT2 Conference will cultivate a supportive environment for women in the Silicon Valley technology industry. This year's keynote speakers will be Kara Swisher, executive editor of Recode, host of the Recode Decode podcast and co-executive producer of the Code Conference; and Gloria Steinem, writer, lecturer, political activist, and feminist organizer. Additional breakout sessions will showcase thought-provoking speakers on the most pressing topics for women in technology. Sessions will be broken down into five tracks based on technical and seniority level including:

  • Emerging Leadership - for the professional who would like to focus on developing their personal brand and gaining insight into their individual leadership style
  • Executive Leadership - for the more seasoned professional who is already in the managerial track and wanting to advance to the next leadership level
  • Technical - for professionals interested in tools to advance their careers
  • VP+ Breakout (Invite only) - content designed specifically for VPs and above
  • D&I Council (Invite only) - content designed specifically for D&I Professionals
