2XU Launches #iTRAIN2 Online Contest in Celebration of 2012 Tour de France

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - Jun 18, 2012) - 2XU has launched an online competition, #iTRAIN2, to coincide with the greatest annual cycling celebration, the Tour de France.

June 18 to July 22, 2XU's #iTRAIN2 contest offers cycling enthusiasts and everyday athletes an opportunity to WIN a trip for two as VIP guests, to the 2013 BMC Training Camp.

A compression partner of 2XU and the official team of 2011 Tour de France winner Cadel Evans, the BMC Training Camp grand prize includes flights to Santa Rosa, California, USA, three nights accommodations, two 2XU Elite Compression Packs and an itinerary of VIP experience offerings.

Hosted on facebook.com/2XUNorthAmerica and 2XU.COM/itrain2, #iTRAIN2 is open to consumers across the United States and Australia, and asks entrants to respond to the question 'Why do you train?' in 140 characters or less.

For professional athletes like BMC Racing Team cyclists, training is to win. However, for everyday riders, it's not that simple. #iTRAIN2 encourages fans to ask themselves why they get up at 5am to exercise before work, why they push themselves on hills, or why they decide to head outdoors even if it's raining?

To further motivate entrants, 2XU has produced an official #iTRAIN2 video offering glimpses into the psyche of elite Pro Tour cyclists as well as "weekend warriors." Now live on 2XU.COM/itrain2movie, the official #iTRAIN2 clip welcomes comments and conversations by viewers at any time.

In addition to the BMC Training Camp VIP Experience, other prizes are up for grabs including a BMC roadracer SL01 bicycle, signed kit, limited edition BMC Racing Team photography and 2XU Compression gear.

Beyond their short response, contestants can receive additional points:

a) Like 2XU on Facebook ("Like Bonus Points")
b) Share the Contest via a message within the Facebook platform ("Message Share Bonus Points").

Like Bonus Points will result in ten (10) points, Wall Post Bonus Points will result in one (1) point for every friend that enters the contest with a maximum of ten (10) points, while Like Bonus Points can only be accumulated one (1) time.

Entries will be judged from July 23-25 and winners will be announced no later than midnight Friday, July 27, 2012.
