300 Entrepreneurs to Convene for First-Ever Mega Startup Weekend

DEMO, Startup Weekend and Startup America Partnership Team up for Unprecedented Event; Three Winning Businesses to Display and Pitch at DEMO

FRAMINGHAM, MA--(Marketwire - Aug 11, 2011) - The DEMO Conference, Startup Weekend and the Startup America Partnership today announced the first-ever Mega Startup Weekend, taking place at Microsoft's Mountain View campus September 9th - 11th. Three hundred entrepreneurs will create businesses focused on three different industries -- Healthcare, Education and Gaming -- during the 54 hour event. One freshly-minted startup from each group will then display at the DEMO Conference immediately following the weekend. DEMO Fall will take place September 12th - 14th at the Silicon Valley Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara. DEMO Fall attendees will have the opportunity to vote on which of the three companies will have the unprecedented opportunity to pitch their business on the main stage during the conference.
