3,000 UK Families Opt for a Solution to Autism During National Autism Awareness Week

The Autism Treatment Center of America Sponsors Six-City Lecture Series on Solving Autism With the Groundbreaking Son-Rise Program®

LONDON--(Marketwire - October 10, 2007) - Most discussion about Autism spotlights the problem and potential causes. Last week 3,000 UK families opted to focus on a solution. The Autism Treatment Center of America (ATCA) attracted thousands of hopeful parents and caregivers in a standing-room-only national lecture tour during National Autism Awareness Week. The lectures occurred 22 September - 5 October in London, Birmingham, Oxford, Brighton, Portsmouth and Cambridge.

Attendees learned about ATCA's breakthrough Son-Rise Program®, a one-on-one, child-centered program that can be implemented by parents and/or caregivers in a child's home. Lecture attendees learned about Son-Rise Program strategies and techniques that they can implement immediately to solve the challenges of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger's, PDD and other related development disorders affecting children from eighteen months up to 18 years or more.

ATCA Managing Director Raun K. Kaufman -- himself fully recovered from Autism -- conducted the lectures in preparation for a five-day training course on The Son-Rise Program in London, 10-14 February 2008.

Here's what Son-Rise Program participants say:

"My child has progressed in all aspects to such an extent that he now attends his local mainstream primary school."

"Hannah has gone from near non-verbal to speaking three-five word sentences with hundreds of words."

"Paul was mute and had no eye contact. After two weeks of using the techniques of The Son-Rise Program, he spoke!"

A short video featuring families speaking about their children's progress with The Son-Rise Program is at www.son-rise.org.

"The Son-Rise Program stands out as the lone example of effective, complete emergence from infantile Autism," said Brian Hooker, Ph.D., P.E., team leader for the High Throughput Biology Team and Operations Manager of the DOE Genomics: Genomes to Life (GTL) Center for Molecular and Cellular Systems. "On further examination of patient data through parental surveys, interviews and video outcomes, I found that in specific cases the ATCA indeed was successful in effecting full emergence, albeit without the guise of a 'miracle cure.'"
