OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 18, 2013) - The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced the 32nd removal and 42nd and 43rd apprehensions of persons on the "Wanted by the CBSA" list.
Wesley Obas Denis, removed from Canada on June 10, was arrested using a false identity by the Service de police de Laval on May 24. Denis was inadmissible to Canada for having been convicted of offences outside of Canada that, if committed in Canada, would constitute a Canadian offence. Denis was convicted in the United States of aggravated harassment in the 2nd degree and attempting to sell cocaine.
On June 5 the Toronto Immigration Task Force (ITF) arrested Dean Wayne Morris in Brampton Ontario. Morris was arrested following a year-long investigation by the Toronto ITF, which is composed of Royal Canadian Mounted Police and CBSA officers. Morris is inadmissible to Canada for having entered Canada using a false passport and for having been convicted of an offence outside of Canada that, if committed in Canada, would constitute a Canadian offence. Morris was convicted of robbery in New York State in 2004 and was sentenced to five years imprisonment.
The Toronto ITF also arrested Joleen Kelly Patterson at an address in Toronto on June 13. Patterson is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality for having been convicted of importing a narcotic substance.
To date, as a result of the "Wanted by the CBSA" program, Canadians have assisted in locating 43 individuals in Canada, of which 32 have been removed. Additionally, eight individuals have been located abroad.
Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the CBSA Web site. Any information on the whereabouts of these wanted individuals should be reported to the CBSA Border Watch Toll-free Line at 1-888-502-9060.
