360training Acquires 2nd Healthcare Education Firm National Medical Education

AUSTIN, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 9, 2007 -- 360training announced today it has completed the acquisition of distance education course provider National Medical Education (NME), a San Diego-based provider of continuing education to nurses, respiratory therapists, radiology and imaging techs and clinical lab scientists nationwide.

Founded in 2002 and with the acquisition of Scripps Educational Services (founded in 1985) in 2004, NME has helped over 160,000 nurses, respiratory therapists, radiology/imaging techs and clinical lab scientists nationwide comply with continuing education requirements through accredited distance learning formats.

The acquisition of NME marks the second of its kind for 360training, who acquired Miami-based dental industry continuing education provider Home Study Educators (www.hsego.com) in 2006. "Our industry [continuing education, certification and licensing training] is a highly fragmented one, hence the decision to buy versus build when seeking to expand market reach is always a question," stated Ed Sattar, CEO of 360training. "The acquisition of NME is the perfect compliment to our growing healthcare education portfolio which now serves over 250,000 healthcare providers nationally across the dental, nursing, respiratory therapy, radiology technology and clinical laboratory industries," added Sattar.

NME brings 360training a continuing education library spanning over 1800 credit hours of professional healthcare continuing education, recognized by the American Association for Respiratory Care, American Society of Radiological Technicians, American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science and numerous state healthcare regulatory agencies.

Joe Pero, CEO of NME, joins the 360training executive team as Vice President of Healthcare Education. "The entire team at NME is delighted with the opportunity to provide greater value for our customers through this merger of our organizations," stated Pero.

Healthcare providers across a wide variety of fields can access distance learning and e-learning courses offered by correspondence, online or blended formats to help meet licensing continuing education requirements while keeping pace with their busy schedules. 360training will continue to operate NME's current website, www.national-medical-education.com and plans to transition the complete library of offerings created through the recent acquisitions under a centralized healthcare education portal.
