3E Company Launches OnData™ Service Delivery Platform, Enabling the Delivery of Regulatory Data Directly Into Customers' Corporate Enterprise Systems

EH&S Leader Launches OnData Hazardous Materials Transportation Classification Service on New Platform

CARLSBAD, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 6, 2005 -- 3E Company®, the leading provider of chemical, regulatory and compliance information services, announced today the availability of its OnData™ service platform, the latest addition to its current selection of service delivery methods which include 3E Online®, OnCall and OnTime. The OnData platform builds on 3E's existing Internet, 24-7-365 call center and project-based platforms. The new OnData platform will enable the receipt of data from 3E for loading directly into a customer's existing ERP, EH&S, EMIS or custom system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is always available. The data can be provided in a variety of formats, including industry-standard XML format.

The OnData platform is a further implementation of the company's plans to develop additional cross-platform products and services enabling greater integration into customers' enterprise systems, resulting in cost savings and increased operational efficiencies. 3E's acquisition of Ariel Research Corporation in late 2004 was a major step in the company's strategy of providing of such integration, with products such as its Ariel Data Manager/Staging Area application, which enables large chemical manufacturers to load global chemical regulatory data directly into their SAP EH&S module.

The first 3E service on the OnData platform is Hazardous Materials Transportation Classification, which also made its debut on the Online platform in the first quarter of 2004. 3E OnData Transportation Classification is designed to support chemical manufacturers, chemical users, and others in the supply chain who must comply with regulations enforced by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) that require transporters to appropriately classify, package, mark, label, placard and ship hazardous materials. The Transportation Classification solution assists with the classification of hazardous materials in accordance with 49 CFR, IATA, Canadian TDG and IMDG Code requirements.

Integrating chemical regulatory data via OnData provides the entire enterprise instant access to up-to-date information, regardless of location, enabling corporations to save costs associated with managing chemical compliance information, reducing the potential for fines and alleviating the burden for resource-strapped EH&S practitioners in carrying out the mundane process of managing dangerous goods classification data and regulatory updates.
