3D Breast Augmentation Imaging With Gold Coast Plastic Surgeon

GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - Jul 19, 2012) - The Layt Clinic is announcing the recent addition of a cutting-edge 3D imaging technology designed to improve decision making for cosmetic enhancement patients such as those undergoing breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, and chin augmentation. Dr. Craig Layt, founding director of the Layt Clinic and board-certified plastic surgeon, says he is excited to introduce the Vectra 3D Imaging technology because it creates a detailed, three-dimensional surgical prediction that allows him and his patients to further define expectations and goals.

Vectra 3D Imaging was developed by Canfield Imaging Systems, a leading supplier of medical imaging software and equipment for a number of healthcare specialties. At his Gold Coast plastic surgery practice, Dr. Layt says he added the 3D imaging capabilities because helping patients visualize potential results can make the decision process easier and more informative, whether they are choosing the size of their breast implant or envisioning how a rhinoplasty will impact the overall appearance and balance of their facial features.

The Gold Coast plastic surgeon says the Vectra imaging equipment first takes a picture of the patient, and then creates a 3D image that can be viewed from multiple angles. The image can then be adjusted to account for an increase in implant size or greater facial contour. Dr. Layt adds that this step is an important part of the process because it helps them feel more confident and comfortable with their decision, and encourages a more open dialogue between doctor and patient about the desired outcome.
