3i Infotech Billing & Payments and CN Railways to Present at Canadian Financial Operations Symposium

Case Study to Be Presented on the Elimination of Paper From Cash Applications

TORONTO--(Marketwire - Sep 12, 2011) - 3i Infotech Billing & Payments, a leading provider of software and solutions for the end-to-end corporate revenue chain, announced that experts from 3i Infotech and CN Railways will jointly discuss the elimination of paper from cash applications for Canada's largest rail network during a session today at the 2011 Canadian Financial Operations Symposium.

The symposium focuses on concepts and proven best practices in critical financial operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payments and P2P.

3i Infotech business development executive Mike Packer will co-present "Eliminating Paper from Cash Applications: A CN Case Study" with Lalan Desai, Manager, Payment Management Group, CN Revenue Management. Along with being the largest rail network in Canada, CN also is the only transcontinental rail network in North America. This session is today from 11:40 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Both executives will discuss how 3i Infotech Billing & Payments partnered with CN to implement a highly sophisticated automated cash application system tailored to CN's business needs. They will also discuss how the suite of solutions helped to virtually eliminate paper handling, accelerate cash posting, and reduce manual processing in an effort to support CN's strategic goals to improve the cash application workflow.

The Canadian Financial Operations Symposium takes place in Toronto from September 11-13, 2011. The event is sponsored by The Institute of Financial Operations, the umbrella organization comprised of four affiliates for finance professionals: International Accounts Payable Professionals (IAPP), International Accounts Receivable Professionals (IARP), the National Association of Purchasing and Payables (NAPP), and The Association for Work Process Improvement (TAWPI).
