42nd Removal of an Individual "Wanted by the CBSA"

Gazmend Dervishaj removed from Canada.


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 2, 2014) - Canada Border Services Agency

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced the removal of Gazmend Dervishaj from Canada. Dervishaj was removed on December 18, 2013.

  • Dervishaj was arrested on November 25, 2013, by CBSA officers in Calgary, AB, after receiving a tip regarding Dervishaj's location from colleagues in Vancouver, BC;
  • Dervishaj is inadmissible to Canada. This individual has been convicted in Canada of arson - damage to property.

To date, as a result of the "Wanted by the CBSA" program, Canadians have assisted in locating 50 individuals in Canada, of which 42 have been removed. Additionally, 11 other individuals were located abroad.

Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the CBSA Web site. Any information on the whereabouts of these wanted individuals should be reported to the CBSA Border Watch Toll-free Line at 1-888-502-9060.
