451 Research Publishes Troux Technologies Impact Report, Extends Troux's Market Leadership

Enterprise Intelligence Concept Gaining Traction in Enterprise Planning

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Nov 24, 2014) - Troux™, the global leader in Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) and Enterprise Architecture (EA), announced today the release of 451 Research's Troux Technologies Impact Report, which overviews the company's current and future influence on EPM through its growing suite of enterprise intelligence solutions.

"The metamorphosis of IT to hybrid cloud models means a resurgence of modernization and restructuring projects, driving increased use of portfolio management systems," said Carl Lehmann, analyst at 451 Research. "Troux's portfolio management approach has long been to improve how IT investment decisions are made. Their recent improvements and roadmap enable better aggregation, analysis and visualization of data that goes beyond what is offered by traditional business intelligence software."

The report overviews the current enhancements Troux has made to its EPM tools in service of better supporting the changing needs of the modern enterprise. These include:

  • Troux API: The development of Troux's own API enables better integration with existing IT management systems and improves the accuracy, quality and timeliness of the data collected. Furthermore, the API facilitates data exchange between existing applications and systems, as well as third-party BI tools.
  • Troux Insight Release 2.0: Extending the Troux Insight analytics engine takes decision makers beyond business intelligence, into enterprise intelligence. Business leaders gain the necessary context and insight to understand the cost/benefit of changes against the entire business, not just at a group or departmental level. This allows decision makers to better understand and prioritize where to invest and how to execute change that supports the entire business.
  • BDNA Technology Partnership: Establishing a partnership with BDNA, an IT dataas-a-service-provider, allows Troux to curate and categorize a repository of information on enterprise software and hardware. That data is used to assess viability and obsolescence of IT infrastructure and apps.

Troux's future offerings are also highlighted, laying out a roadmap set to improve the overall strategic assessment of business capabilities, IT infrastructure and investments.
