4G Deployment in India in February's Edition of Business Review India

MUMBAI, INDIA--(Marketwire - Feb 22, 2012) - In this issue, we take pride in featuring a topic on 4G Technology which is the much awaited successor of 2G and 3G. It will provide ultra-broadband Internet access to laptops, wireless modems, smartphones, and other mobile devices.

The primary difference between 3G and 4G is the data transfer speed. While 3G users enjoy surfing speeds of up to 2 Mbps, 4G raises the bar much higher and promises speeds of 100 Mbps for high mobility communications like trains and cars which are unsurprisingly unheard in India.

It is going to be interesting to see when & how other BWA spectrum holders will launch their 4G services with Reliance being the only Company to have Pan-India BWA license. All the statistics only hint that India is at least 3-4 years away from actually deploying 4G.
