The Paragon Report Provides Equity Research on VirnetX Holding & Alcatel-Lucent

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Dec 8, 2011) - Driven by near unanimous support among mobile network operators, the next-generation 4G wireless standard known as long term evolution (LTE) is poised for strong growth in the coming years. Wireless communications companies heavily focused on the 4G LTE market could be prepared for surging top lines as the latest cellular wireless standard gains traction. The Paragon Report examines the outlook for the Technology Sector and provides equity research on VirnetX Holding Corporation (NYSE Amex: VHC) and Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) (PARIS: ALU). According to IHS iSupply's "Smartphones & Converged Devices Market Tracker report," worldwide subscribers to 4G LTE at the end of 2011 will number a projected 11.6 million, up a massive 4,062% from a mere 300,000 in 2010. IHS iSupply argues that LTE will enjoy impressive growth during the next few years, allowing the technology to account for 10% of worldwide mobile subscribers by 2015.

Although LTE usage in 2015 will continue trail those of older wireless technologies, the pace of expansion for LTE will be unmatched, largely because subscriber growth is slowing for legacy wireless standards, IHS data show.
