4Kids Entertainment Named Worldwide Licensing, Marketing and Promotional Agent for the Yoga-Inspired Children's Series "YoMonkeys"

Animation Collective's Comedic Series Teaches Children the Importance of Health and Exercise

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 8, 2006 -- 4Kids Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: KDE), a global provider of children's entertainment and merchandise licensing, announced today it has acquired the exclusive worldwide licensing rights to Animation Collective's health-oriented, new children's yoga-inspired series, "YoMonkeys." As part of this agreement, 4Kids Entertainment will manage the marketing, promotional and licensing initiatives of this short format television series on a global basis, as well as control the U.S. broadcast and web rights.

The brainchild of Animation Collective's Larry Schwarz, creator of the soon-to-debut series "Kappa Mikey" (premiering February 25 on Nicktoons), comedic series "YoMonkeys"consists of 52 interstitial-length episodes that teach children the basics of yoga -- an increasingly popular activity that promotes flexibility and overall fitness. The series further augments 4Kids Entertainment's recently launched "Healthy 4Kids" website (www.4Kids.TV/healthy/). This new platform is dedicated to educating children of all age groups about the importance of healthy eating and physical activity.
