4medica's Ambulatory Cloud Integrated Health Record Receives ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 Certification

CULVER CITY, CA--(Marketwire - February 17, 2011) - 4medica, provider of the industry's leading cloud software-as-a-service (SaaS) clinical integration platform, announced today that 4medica's Ambulatory Cloud IHR (Integrated Health Record) version 10.4 with 4medica's Integration Engine to connect Ambulatory EMRs, is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as an EHR Module on February 8, 2010 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

"4media is proud to have its *second ONC-ATCB certification from CCHIT; first on the inpatient side and now on the ambulatory side," said Oleg Bess, M.D., 4medica's CEO. "These certifications, combined with our unique cloud SaaS technology, gives providers a high degree of confidence and trust that they will be well positioned to deliver higher quality care, capture ARRA incentives for meaningful use of electronic records and exchange patient information with other practices and hospitals by implementing our easy-to-use clinical integration technology. We are continuing to enhance our Integrated Health Record and intend to achieve Complete EHR ONC-ATCB certification in both inpatient and ambulatory settings."

The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more -- but not all -- of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

"CCHIT is pleased to be testing and certifying products so that companies are now able to offer these products to providers who wish to purchase and implement certified EHR technology and achieve meaningful use in time for the 2011-2012 incentives," said Karen M. Bell, M.D., M.S.S., Chair, CCHIT.
