NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 29, 2010) -  2010 represents a growth year at the GSIFF, as we are set to bring you some of the best film premieres available, including Jennifer Lynch's highly anticipated HISSS, the latest film by cinema legend Jean-Luc Godard, and the film adaptation of Philip K. Dick's Radio Free Albemuth.

Founder/Director Michael Gunther's Statement: "This is an exciting year, as we have dramatically expanded the scope and quality of the GSIFF International Film Festival, bringing New York cinema lovers three World Premieres, five North American Premieres, a tribute to the late Satosi Kon as well as three stand out short programs."

Opening Night Gala:
Opening night kicks off with the World Premiere of Radio Free Albemuth, the film adaptation of the beloved Philip K. Dick novel, directed by John Alan Simon and featuring rising star Shea Whigham (Fast and the Furious) and a strong performance from Alanis Morissette, from films such as Fast and the Furious and Twilight.

Festival Screenings:
Our 2010 program features three world premieres, five North American premieres, our first ever tribute screening, three high caliber short film programs and a tribute screening of Paprika by the late Satoshi Kon. 

Tribeca cinemas will house screenings of Meat, LelleBelle, A Shine of Rainbows, The War is Over, The Secret Diaries of Miss Lister, Short Film Program I, and the cult-ready She Wolf Rising
