5G Wireless to Provide Wi-Fi Solutions to Delta State, Nigeria Following Completion of Concept Testing

With Successful Deployment in the Capital, Asaba, 5G Wireless Partner, Polestar Nigeria, Now Targets Delta State Starting With Leading Publication, Pointer Newspaper

MARINA DEL REY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 5, 2006 -- 5G Wireless Communications, Inc. (OTCBB: FGWI), an emerging leader in the wireless broadband industry, today announced that it has completed concept testing in Delta State, Nigeria, and will begin to provide the state with last-mile solutions for voice, video and data via multiple citywide Wi-Fi deployments.

In February 2006, 5G Wireless base stations and hot spots created complete wireless high speed Internet access for offices and homes across the largest city in Nigeria, Lagos, and the capital of Delta State, Asaba. The company now plans to expand wireless solutions to the rest of the nation including several parts of Delta State and has already begun discussions with leading Nigerian publication, Pointer Newspaper.

The arrangement and deployments of service in Delta State and Asaba were made possible by Polestar Nigeria, one of 5G Wireless' channel marketing partners based in Lagos, Nigeria. The successful deployment in the capital Asaba and positive feedback from satisfied Delta State Government officials allows 5G Wireless to construct plans of key deployments in other areas of the state. The first project will begin at Pointer Newspaper and will provide complete hi-speed wireless Internet access indoors and outdoors, for journalists' easy means and access of communication and research.

"The Internet access offered by Polestar Nigeria, powered by 5G Wireless, provides seamless low-cost wireless solutions to a booming state," says Obasi Uba Jr., CEO of Polestar Nigeria. "Delta State has primarily been recognized as the largest oil and gas producing state in Nigeria. However, with a government pushing for new ways to expand the development and advancement of the economy, 5G solutions came at the right time with Wi-Fi connectivity that will aid in the facilitation of economic growth opening new doors to technological improvements."

5G Wireless uses its new cellular-style Wi-Fi base stations to create a broad service area with non-line-of-sight (NLOS) capabilities. These enhancements are compatible with standard IEEE 802.11b/g Wi-Fi equipment. The 5G Wi-Fi Hotzones™ function through macro-cell base stations deployed from tall towers and the tops of tall buildings, while dead spots are filled in with smaller micro cells following the proven deployment strategy used today by the cellular carriers. This type of structural design allows for a well-tailored combination of cells resulting in the ability to add higher capacity where and when needed. 5G Wireless Base Stations have the advantage of multiple usage and varying functionalities for both the private and public sectors including governance and administration for government departments, security and intelligence purposes, and educational uses, as well as for the management of data by businesses and companies.

"We are thrilled with the success of the 5G deployments in several cities of Nigeria, and are proud to have the opportunity to provide wireless internet solutions to the growing African market," says Jerry Dix, CEO of 5G Wireless. "We look forward to several more future deployments and projects within the area, and hope to secure and ensure uninterrupted connectivity for thriving businesses and communities within the nation."
