5G Wireless Signs Agreement With ERF Wireless to Expand Broadband Equipment Markets

5G Wireless Brings High-Performance and Low Cost "Cellular-Style" Wireless Base Stations to the Growing Southwest ERF Market

MARINA DEL REY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 8, 2006 -- 5G Wireless Communications Inc. (OTC BB: FGWI), an emerging leader in the wireless broadband industry, today announced that it has signed an Authorized Channel Partner agreement with ERF Wireless ( (OTC BB: ERFW), a leading provider of wireless broadband communications products and services on a nationwide basis to enterprise, commercial and residential clients.

5G will be providing its new "cellular-style" wireless base stations and high performance microcells to League City, Texas-based ERF and its wide variety of commercial and residential clients. The new VAR (Value Added Reseller) arrangement allows 5G to penetrate both the southwest regional wireless market and select vertical markets, including the banking and retail services industries, which are established areas of ERF expertise.

"We're looking forward to aggressively marketing our new products throughout Texas and the large enterprise, commercial and residential client base in which ERF has a proven track record," stated Jerry Dix, 5G Wireless Communications CEO. "The versatility of our wireless networking equipment is already being well received by their prospects looking for high performance, low cost solutions. We're also impressed with ERF's unique approach to marketing shared wireless services in non-urban areas."

ERF Wireless is currently comprised of four divisions: Enterprise Network Services, Bundled Wireless Services, Wireless Messaging Systems and Network Operations. These divisions provide solutions and services to different segments of the communications industry and the wireless broadband industry. Enterprise Network Services typically enter into an agreement with financial institutions on behalf of ERF Wireless to resell all of their excess bandwidth capacity to commercial and retail customers within their coverage area under a revenue-sharing agreement, thereby reducing the overall cost to the financial institution.

Furthermore, ERF is presently involved in two specific new projects utilizing 5G technology. Working together, 5G and ERF have offered a Campus-Wide Area Network (C-WAN™) solution to a renowned private university in Texas and ERF is also planning development of its own 5G CityWide Wide Area Network (CW-WAN™) to offer Wireless ISP services in an area of League City, Texas.

"We were impressed with how 5G's products could provide us with a real competitive edge," added Dr. Dean Cubley, Chairman of ERF Wireless. "5G's broad coverage, rapid deployment capabilities and low total cost of ownership (TCO) support our corporate initiatives of developing strategically placed wireless broadband networks to provide delivery of reliable, bundled high-speed wireless broadband services including internet data, voice, security and video services for enterprise, commercial, residential and private entities, as well as cities and unincorporated municipalities."

5G Wireless uses its new cellular-style Wi-Fi base stations to create a broad service area with non-line-of-sight (NLOS) capabilities. These enhancements are compatible with standard IEEE 802.11b/g Wi-Fi equipment. The 5G Wi-Fi Hotzones™ function through macro-cell base stations deployed from tall towers and the tops of tall buildings, while dead spots are filled in with smaller micro cells following the proven deployment strategy used today by the cellular carriers. This type of structural design allows for a well-tailored combination of cells resulting in the ability to add higher capacity where and when needed. 5G Wireless Base Stations have the advantage of multiple usage and varying functionalities for both the private and public sectors including governance and administration for government departments, security and intelligence purposes, and educational uses, as well as for the management of data by businesses and companies.
