The historic Arcadian Court offers a unique venue to create the perfect setting for the Aroni Awards Gala. Hon. Margarett R Best (Ontario Ministry of Consumer Services), City Officials, and the Harmony Movement have joined to bring a moving night. The Gala will feature performances by Canada's premier entertainers Beyond Sound, Dru, Amoy Levy, Annie Zhou, Shawn Banfield, Subliminal, comedians Trixx and Jean Paul, and many more.

Our Inspiration

The Aroni Awards INSPIRE Gala was created in 2006 to honour the legacy of Aron Y. Haile and his dedication to lifting under privileged youth with diverse backgrounds from their existing circumstances.

Aron Y. Haile, an African-Canadian software developer, died in 2003 at the young age of 30, in a vehicular accident. His willingness to mentor youth and his overall love for people gave him an avenue to create a focus on giving back to his community. Aron had a strong belief in helping individuals with a drive for change who apply positive efforts despite their economic circumstances; thus creating the concept for the Aroni Awards.

On Saturday December 3rd, 2011, the 6th Annual Aroni Awards Gala will continue to highlight the cause of helping disadvantaged youths realize their dreams and achieve their goals. This event will present five AroniMAGE awards to the unsung heroes of our community who continue to work in their perspective fields, while dedicating their time towards community service. The AroniAwards Education Bursary will also be presented to three students that show strong dedication to community service, a positive outlook and continue to persevere despite personal obstacles. These students will be presented with the bursaries in order to pursue their post-secondary education.
