BETHANY BEACH, DE--(Marketwired - May 31, 2016) - Professional tennis returns to Bethany Beach with the sixth annual ResortQuest Pro Women's Open at Sea Colony, to be held June 5-12, 2016, on the clay courts at the Sea Colony Tennis Center, located south of Bethany Beach on West Way Drive, just west of Kent Avenue.
Again sponsored by ResortQuest Real Estate® and ResortQuest® by Wyndham Vacation Rentals, as well as the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and UBS, this singles and doubles tournament draws nationally- and internationally-ranked women tennis players seeking higher world rankings and a share of this USTA Pro Circuit event's $10,000 in prize money.
Top seed Brazilian Gabriela Cé, ranked No. 285 in the world, leads this year's global field, representing more than six dozen players hailing from a dozen-plus countries on five continents.
Qualifying matches will be held June 5-6, with the main draw -- for singles and doubles -- beginning on Tuesday, June 7. The tournament concludes with the doubles finals on Saturday, June 11, and the singles finals on Sunday, June 12.
Admission to the tournament is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
In addition to singles and doubles play, the tournament events include a Junior Play Day on Wednesday, June 8.
