VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - November 03, 2016) - Ever wish you could have a second birthday celebration, because a year is just too long to wait? Well 7-Eleven is doing just that. On Monday, November 7 (11/7 -- the reverse of 7-Eleven's 7/11 birthday), 7-Eleven is hosting a unique event to celebrate their birthday in reverse. Leading up to the special day, they will be hijacking their own social media accounts to sporadically post reverse messages, flipped around images and even turn their logo inside out to have a little fun!
This is in celebration of Reverse 7-Eleven Day, in which fans can participate in multiple ways. On November 7, Slurpee enthusiasts across the country are encouraged to wear their clothes backwards at any 7-Eleven store to receive a free medium Slurpee. In addition to the free Slurpee, fans are invited to upload pictures of their backwards outfits to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #Reverse711.
7-Eleven will be playing with the idea of innovation through creativity and will feature visuals and messaging that are upside down, backwards and generally, a little wacky. Reverse 7-Eleven Day will also allow Slurpee enthusiasts to show off their own creativity, as they create and share their own content.
The promotion will be at all 7-Eleven stores from B.C. to Ontario. Medium Slurpee drinks will be available between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm on Monday, November 7, or while quantities last.
7-Eleven and Slurpee fans can scan their free Slurpee with 7Rewards App and get two stars toward their seventh cup free. Download the 7Rewards App in the app store or at 7Rewards.ca.
Slurpee is a global icon that's available only at 7-Eleven stores. More information on Slurpee in Canada is available at www.slurpee.ca, www.facebook.com/slurpeecanada, @SlurpeeCanada on Twitter, or on Instagram under SlurpeeCanada.
