$7500 Reward by LCA for Information Leading to the Arrest and Conviction of Luka Rocco Magnotta

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 1, 2012) - Last Chance for Animals (LCA), a non-profit animal rights organization based in Los Angeles, has been notified of a series of disturbing videos that exhibit animal cruelty, animal rape, torture, murder and cannibalism. Police in Canada are currently seeking Luka Rocco Magnotta and Interpol has issued a "Red Notice" in connection with these crimes. Magnotta may be hiding out in Montpellier, France, Toronto, Canada, New York, NY, or Los Angeles, CA. LCA's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is currently working to bring Magnotta to justice.

Magnotta first came to the attention of animal rights activists in 2010 when he allegedly posted a video to YouTube of himself suffocating kittens in a plastic bag while Christmas music played in the background. Over the next two years several other videos were posted in which cats were raped and killed and a kitten was fed to a snake. On May 25, 2012 a video was posted in which Magnotta allegedly tortured, killed, dismembered, and cannibalized an adult man then allowed a puppy to feed on the body.

It has been reported that Magnotta claimed to have sent five packages with different body parts to various individuals and groups and that Magnotta has declared his intention to kill again.

This case clearly highlights what many psychologists have been saying for decades; that there is a clear link between animal cruelty and a propensity for violence toward humans.
