Singita is a private, non-profit, animal welfare organization,
founded by Sherry and Buddy Hackett, whose mission is to rescue
abandoned and homeless companion animals. It is their goal to
eliminate animal over-population through education, spaying and
neutering, and the placement of healthy animals in the greater Los
          Angeles area.

Singita is in the process of building The Buddy Hackett Animal
Sanctuary to house and care for hundreds of abandoned animals. The
facility will be a 12,000-square-foot, cage-free kennel for homeless
cats and dogs located on a private 22-acre site in the foothills of
the northeast San Fernando Valley. It will be the largest no-kill
refuge for homeless, abused companion animals on the West Coast. All
proceeds from the Night of Comedy will benefit The Buddy Hackett
          Singita Animal Sanctuary
