900 North Michigan Shops Chooses Prysm Videowalls to Make Its Luxury Brands Shine

Chicago's Signature Shopping Destination Deploys LPD Videowalls to Enhance Engagement and Direct Customers to Its Exclusive Retailers

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - May 21, 2013) - Prysm Inc., a designer and manufacturer of videowall systems that deliver immersive and engaging user experiences, today announced the installation of its award-winning Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) videowalls at 900 North Michigan Shops. Prysm videowalls enhance the shopping experience with unmatched beauty, brightness and industry-leading resolution. They complement image quality leadership with best-in-class energy efficiency and the lowest environmental impact. 900 North Michigan Shops deployed LPD videowalls to create a unique and engaging experience for the customers of its luxury retailers.

"Customers choosing 900 North Michigan Shops expect a superior level of quality in our stores and throughout the retail environment we provide. Adopting advanced touch-enabled videowalls served as the evolutionary 'next step' for our brand," said Sarah Burrows, Director of Marketing for 900 North Michigan Shops. "Beyond the simplicity and elegance of the user experience, Prysm has helped us maintain the luxury style and name 900 North Michigan Shops upholds."

The 900 North Michigan Shops installation was implemented with multiple three-foot wide by 10-foot high videowalls with interactive touch screen technology. The videowalls serve as the shopping center's hub, effectively directing guests to stores within 900 North Michigan Shops by offering retailer information, location and unique shopping opportunities. Prysm was chosen over competing digital display systems for its brilliant picture, incredible customer engagement and market-leading sustainability. Prysm videowalls use up to 75 percent less energy than competing projector, PDP/plasma, LCD and LED systems.

"Like many industries, retail is undergoing great change with the dramatic growth of online shopping. Physical retailers can differentiate themselves by offering customers unique venues and experiences that can't be achieved in the online world," said Dana Corey, VP of Sales and Technical Operations for Prysm. "900 North Michigan Shops is at the forefront of redefining the shopping experience, and Prysm is proud to be their partner in making the in-store retail experience one that is memorable and compelling for customers."

Prysm's videowalls leverage its breakthrough LPD technology to create immersive and engaging user experiences. Prysm LPD videowalls deliver beautiful, bright images and can scale to more than 100 feet in width while maintaining image uniformity over the entire display area. Multiple users can interact simultaneously with Prysm videowalls through touch, motion sensing and their mobile devices. Thanks to the excellent energy efficiency of LPD technology, Prysm videowalls consume less power and run cooler than any competing display solution.

Recent LPD installations include: Wallenberg Auditorium at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) building in Stockholm, IAC Headquarters in New York, and Dubai Media.
