$950,000 Raised to Support Pediatric Cancer Research at Texas Children's Cancer Center

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - December 09, 2014) - Snowdrop Foundation presented a check to Texas Children's Cancer Center for $120,000 at the 11th annual Cure Kid's Cancer Radiothon. This donation brings the total funds donated by Snowdrop Foundation to $950,000 over the past 8.5 years.

"We are proud to support Texas Children's Cancer Center. We are inspired by the children and their strength," Kevin Kline, Snowdrop Foundation co-founder and president, said. "We acknowledge that none of this is possible without the unwavering support from our donors, sponsors and volunteers."

Created in 2009, the Chelsey Coy Campbell Cure Children's Cancer Research Grant has supported the work of Dr. Nino Rainusso at Texas Children's Cancer Center. This year's $120,000 donation allows Dr. Rainusso to continue his innovative research aimed at creating better treatment and protocols to cure and prevent pediatric cancer.

Snowdrop Foundation is an event based non-profit organization, one of the big fundraisers coming up in December is the ULTRA 55 Hour Race & Relay. Over 200 runners from across the US will toe the line in the 2nd Annual Snowdrop ULTRA 55 Hour Race & Relay.  The ULTRA 55 Hour Race takes place in Sugar Land, Texas. Starts on Dec 30, 2014 at 7am and ends on Jan 1, 2015 at 2pm.

Through this charity-sporting event, thousands of dollars will be raised to provide college scholarships for childhood cancer patients and survivors as well as provide pediatric cancer research dollars. With your support, we can continue making great impacts in the lives of our children, allowing them to fulfill all of their potential and promise through a second chance at life.
