A Chance at Cheesy Fame and $1,000 Up for Grabs in Waterloo Region

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 17, 2010) - Pizza Pizza has kicked off the launch of their new cheesy garlic bread--yet to be named – in the Waterloo region. The team is asking the Tri-Cities for help naming the new bread and they are awarding a $1,000 cash prize and free supply of the new product for one year to the person whose name is chosen.

Starting today, the new product will be available in all Pizza Pizza restaurants across Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. To help motivate the pizza lover's mind, free samples of the product will be available with any pizza $9.99 or more.

"The new product is really tasty," said Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer for Pizza Pizza. "The Pizza Pizza team always appreciates the feedback we receive. That's why we are asking our customers to submit creative and cheesy names for their chance at bragging rights while enjoying the taste-test and brainstorming with friends." 

Customers that want to take their shot at coming up with a cheesy name for the new product can submit suggestions at A team of Pizza Pizza judges will choose the winner and award $1,000, plus the one year supply of this cheesy garlic creation. 

As with all pizzas made by Pizza Pizza, the new product is freshly made to order and prepared with hand-stretched dough. The bread is then covered in garlic, herbs and four cheese blend and baked to perfection in Pizza Pizza's stone ovens, the new menu item is sure to satisfy everyone that loves a cheesy garlic flavour. 

Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge are the exclusive test markets for Pizza Pizza's new cheesy garlic product until it is named and the prize is awarded.
