ACM Capital Partners Names Tom Fitz Managing Director, Healthcare

Senior Health Care Industry Executive Brings 30 Years of Leadership and Experience, Highlighted by 20 Years as CEO of Several Acute Care Hospitals, and Six Years as a Partner in the Ernst & Young Health Care Consulting Practice

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - November 23, 2009) - ACM Capital Partners, a national investment and advisory firm specializing in assisting companies in transition or distress, today announced that Thomas E. Fitz, Jr., a health care industry veteran with more than 30 years experience, will join ACM as a Managing Director responsible for all health care turnaround and restructuring engagements. Fitz is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the national accrediting body for health care executives. His turnaround and quality initiatives were featured in the March 2008 edition of the American Hospital Association's Trustee magazine.

Fitz joins ACM following a stint as a National Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Prior to serving as a National Examiner, Fitz served nine years as CEO of Athens, Ga.-based St. Mary's Health Care System, where he led the operational and financial turn around of the multi-facility system.

Under Fitz's leadership, St. Mary's was repeatedly selected as the Official Health Care Provider for the University of Georgia Athletic Association, was recipient of the 2006-2007 Award as Large Hospital of the Year by Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals, and was recognized by the Partnership for Health and Accountability as having the Highest Overall Quality of any hospital in Georgia in 2006.

Prior to St. Mary's, Fitz was a Partner in the Health Care Consulting practice of Ernst & Young LLP where he was responsible for numerous engagements requiring large-scale and significant organizational change, including the development of system-wide strategic initiatives to turn around and improve operational performance for large multi-hospital systems.
