AIM Resources Ltd.: Board Changes to Drive Company's Development Strategy

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 15, 2008) - Emerging African zinc producer AIM Resources Ltd. ("AIM Resources", "the Company") (AIM:AIMR)(ASX:AIM) is pleased to announce changes to its Board as part of the Company's strategy to take its Perkoa Zinc Project in Burkina Faso into production, and develop value for its other assets - copper-gold in Zambia and nickel-platinum in South Africa.

Managing Director Marc Flory, who has been instrumental in driving the development of the Perkoa Project and AIM Resources' exploration projects in Zambia and South Africa, will become non-executive Chairman and fellow AIM Resources director Bill Cash will assume the role of managing director in the interim, while the Company looks to appoint a new managing director.

Current Chairman Vic Bradley will continue his involvement with the Company as an independent director. Louis Mnguni will also continue in his role of non-executive director. (Please refer to details of new Board positions below).

Mr Flory explained that it has always been part of the Company's strategy for the final phase of development at Perkoa to appoint a managing director with the expertise and the track record to take the mine into production and to continue to manage it once in production.

"AIM Resources is a maturing company and as the Company's life cycle evolves we need to add strength to our Board with the skill sets which will allow us to extract maximum value from our projects".

"In this respect we are fortunate to have the expertise of Bill Cash who has been involved in the development phase of a number of projects, including the McArthur River zinc project in The Northern Territory and the Lisheen zinc and lead project in Tipperary, Ireland."

Mr Flory will continue to play a key role in the Company and will focus his attentions on AIM Resources' exploration projects (Mumbwa in Zambia and Mokopane in South Africa), source new assets and maintain local and Government relationships at the Perkoa Project in Burkina Faso and other areas where AIM Resources has interests.

It is also a key tenet of the Company's Corporate Governance strategy to add rigour to the Board with appropriate appointments in 2008, with a view to having the majority of the Company's Board as independent directors.

"We see this as very positive move for the Company, and one that allows us to best align the skill sets of the executive team," Mr Flory said.
